The Commission on Intercourse in Prison’s last report, posted today (Tuesday 17 March), features reports from former prisoners speaking the very first time about their experiences of intercourse behind pubs.
Sex in prison: Experiences of previous prisoners may be the 5th and last briefing paper posted by the Commission, that was founded because of the Howard League for Penal Reform and includes eminent academics, previous jail governors and wellness specialists.
Guidelines through the Commission’s two-year inquiry will soon be presented today (Tuesday 17 March) at a conference in London.
The Commission desired authorization to interview current prisoners about their experiences of intercourse in jail, but this method had been blocked because of the Ministry of Justice.
But, Dr Alisa Stevens, Lecturer in Criminology during the University of Southampton, surely could interview 26 previous prisoners during summer time of 2014 – 24 guys as well as 2 ladies.
