Brazil’s Nationwide Council of Justice ruled that same-sex partners shouldn’t be rejected wedding licenses in 2013, permitting marriages that are same-sex start around the world.

Before the legislation, just a number of Brazil’s 27 jurisdictions had permitted same-sex wedding.
